Kuantan, Pahang

Kuantan, 12-14 Sept 2012

My last visit to Kuantan was two years ago. This time, i was assigned to visit four schols in Kuantan district.  I was a bit worried because i don't know Kuantan well and the only hotel that i can remember is Grand Continental Hotel (GCH). I tried to locate the schools using google maps but it was useless because i don't know Kuantan. So what i did was just prayed God to lead the way. Thank God I found GCH easily before 7pm on 12 Sept.

My journey to SMK Paya Bear on day one was not smooth. I lost my way in Kuantan town for about 20 minutes looking for the so called 'numbered traffic light' where i need to make a right turn leading to SMK Paya Besar. The local people are very friendly and they give direction as if you are local too. Well, I managed to locate the school after an hour.

After visiting SMK Pelindung on 13 Sept., I detoured to Teluk Cempedak which is not far from the school. The beach is beautiful but too many monkeys around the bridge. One of them was pulling my long skirt and refused to let go when i tried to pull back. May be they are just too hungry.

I was there for about 30 minutes but went there again after visiting SK Beserah and SMK Tengku Afzan.on14 Sept.

WISDOM IN DEDICION MAKING (PART 2)

After putting my special issue in word and read it again and again, now I realised that actually I never get confuse. I am very sure of what I feel, what I think and what I want. My decision is yes since day one and I never let it go. I am still keeping it on top of my prayers list. Also, many of my prayers had been answered. All in all, I know the problems is my own self. It's just that...I am too sturburn and too much of thinking and worrying. Let's start and hopefully it's never too late.

Albrecht Dürer

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Phil 4:6-7)

A Trip to Malacca, 11 August 2012

Saturday, I joined the SCMC senior cell group members for a one day trip to Malacca. We happily walked around Malacca town under the hot sun. We visited the submarine museum, the Baba-Nyonya Heritage Museum, Dutch Square, St Paul's Church and A Famosa fort. Mothers had a wonderful shopping hour at the Jonker Street. For lunch, we enjoyed the nyonya food at Ole Nyonya Restaurant. Later, we stopped at Seremban for the famous pau and dinner.

Malacca River was once an important trade route in the 15th century. Now, it is popular because of the 45-minute River Cruise.

The surviving gate of A Famosa Portugese fortress. The fortress built around a natural hill near the sea in 1511 under the command of Afonso de Albuquerque.

Behind me is the Stadhuys (meaning town hall) was once a centre of the Dutch administrative office until it was converted into Museum in 1982. The Christ Church, Red Clock Tower and The Stadhuys makes up the Dutch Square. The Victoria Regina fountain was erected in memory of A Great Queen.

[4] Are the columns round or sqaure?

 [5] How many beams, 3 or 4?

[6] What kind of frame is this?

Wisdom in Decision Making

Sometimes I am fast and sometimes I need a little bit more time in my decision making. All depending on the issues I am facing. Normally, I am sure of what I think, what I feel and what I want. I am sure because once I come to a conclusion and decision meaning I've considered all the possible factors. Now, it does not happen that way for this special issue. Everytime when I am about to say yes or to let go, something happened and made me to re-consider my decision. This really test my wisdom in making up my mind. I felt so down and helpless. Besides all the possible factors,  I am holding to the believe that things worth having is worth waiting for, else let go with no regret. Or, may be I am just confused with the law of attraction and God's will. I pray to God to give give me the wisdom and knowledge as I needed for this special issue.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
