My off days vs public transport

Thursday, 24 Oct 2013 was Pahang state's holiday. I decided to take leave on 25 Oct 2013 so that I have more time to go back home. Then I decided to go back by public transport because it was a week day and not many people. I can get bus ticket easily but the problem is parking my car at the fully parked LRT station. I prefer to take bus because I can sleep and enjoy the scenery a long the roadside.

I am not sure of the place, just enjoy the sunset, 6.39 p.m. @ Perak

Friday, 25 Oct 2013, late afternoon, I went to Penang with my brother. We only stayed for >< half an hour then headed to the jetty. We thought we can avoid the traffic and reach Chain Ferry, Prai faster by taking the ferry. Unfortunately...we took longer time to wait for the ferry. We were told that only four ferries in service. Well, to me it's worth waiting...I stopped taking the ferry since the bridge opened.

Puduraya bus terminal had undergone a renovation and was renamed as Pudu Sentral but...the long (15 years) abandoned project next to it was an eyesore. The project comprising of a shopping mall, hotel, serviced apartments and office tower was abandoned in 1997 due to the financial crisis.  It was meant to be integrated with the Puduraya bus terminal in an effort to create a public transportation hub, which includes the Plaza Rakyat LRT station. Recently, Sept 2013, Penang-based Ivory Properties Group Bhd said their subsidiary Ivory Place Sdn Bhd had won an open tender to revive the project and will redevelop the site.  really hope that the company can turn Puduraya into a commercial and business hub.

While waiting for my train to Bukit Jalil, I took a picture of the Plaza Rakyat LRT station, 27 Oct 2013. It looks so different after some renovation.

I didn't stop at Bandar Tasik Selatan LRT station but since I am talking about public transport so I felt it's good if I can upload the pictures that I took some times ago, 26 Dec 2011.

The Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) or Integrated Transport Terminal is located at Bandar Tasik Selatan. It was opened on 1 January 2011. The terminal serves as a depot for south-bound buses. In addition to buses, the terminal will also be an interchange for rail services like KTM Komuter, the LRT Ampang Line, the Express Rail Link to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and RapidKL buses.
